Technicians
We have many highly trained and experienced research technicians with combined agricultural experience of over 70 years
Our History
In 1992 David Moore established Southeast Ag Research, Inc. (SEAgR) on the family farm in Chula, GA. We are still headquartered on the same farm today.
GLP-compliant trials were our initial emphasis. We began travelling to Florida to conduct RAC trials in 1995 and continue to serve Regions II and III today.
Pesticide efficacy trials were begun in 1994, and are now a major part of our workload. Crop nutrition and breeding trials are now staples in our program as well.
APHIS Regulated field trials were begun in 2000.
Facilities
Field SEAgR controls over 740 acres (300 ha) of irrigated farmland on which the bulk of our trials are conducted.
We’ve established blueberry, peach and pecan orchards as well as multiple turf sites on the farm. In addition, we have developed numerous relationships with growers of various specialty crops in over 25 counties in Georgia and Florida.
Greenhouse In 2024, we built a 3000 square foot (280 m2) greenhouse to accommodate our growing demand for propagating transplants and conducting controlled environment research. We also have relationships with commercial greenhouse operators in the area, where we have conducted greenhouse trials.
Lab Our lab facilities allow us to rear and inoculate several plant pathogens, nematodes, and insects to ensure consistent pest pressure.
We continue to update our lab, sampling, and storage facilities to meet changing demands.
We maintain an in-house QA auditor to ensure all registration studies are conducted with strict adherence to GLPS and has contract QA available as needed to ensure expediency.
Mission
To provide our clients with high quality, reproducible data in a timely manner and at a competitive cost while adhering to the highest standards of honesty and integrity.
