Studies conducted under US-EPA Good Laboratory Practices
Dissipation Studies
SEAgR has conducted numerous dissipation studies on various soil types that are irrigated. We can provide soil, turf and crop dissipation type studies as needed.
SEAgR has been conducting RAC trials since 1993 with trial work covering much of Georgia into Alabama and throughout Florida. We have had apple trials in the most northern parts of GA to avocados in the extreme southern part of FL. Our staff brings the experience and willingness to conduct these trials with implementation from the field to the completed notebook in a timely fashion.
With our residue sampling experience, we are also able to conduct rotational residue sampling trials.
Transferrable Turf Residue
Conducting exposure assessments for people reentering turf that has been treated with a pesticide requires an assessment of the amount of residue that can be transferred from the grass to the person.
SEAGR uses The Modified California Roller technique consists of pushing a 32-pound roller back and forth over a 6 square foot area of percale cloth that is securely fastened to the ground on top of the turf.
SEAgR has the staffing and mobility to providing the resources necessary for a successful project in our regions. Some of our staff on board has participated in numerous different aspects of these types of studies and understand the requirements and are willing to provide the dedication to ensure a productive venture.
Off-site Movement Trials
With increasing concern for off target pesticide movement, we have experience quantifying those occurrences. We have conducted trials using air sampling and off target injury.
Pollinator Trials
We have experience conducting pollinator residue trials. We keep some hives and have access to obtaining large numbers of beehives from commercial beekeepers in our area.
Quality Assurance
We maintain in-house QA auditors to ensure all registration studies are conducted with strict adherence to GLPS. We also have contract QA available as needed to ensure expediency.
Biotechnology and Regulated Field Trials
APHIS-compliant confined release trials, can be conducted under GLPS. Confidentiality, stewardship, success and continued monitoring are some of the things we strive to achieve for our clients with regulated trials. Even though we have a proven track record with this type of work, our effort and attention to details are still at the forefront as each new trial begins.
Our staff has worked with setting up nets and sampling bee trials. We keep some hives and have access to obtaining large numbers of beehives from commercial beekeepers in our area.
